Soundtrack to the Final Fantasy X game for the PlayStation 2. If you'd like to see the tracklist in Japanese (kana), click here. Your browser must be able to display Japanese characters in order for the page to show up properly.

    Limited-edition first pressing:

Comes in a sealed plastic bag when you first buy it new and unopened. (The picture of the unopened set was taken from Gamemusic.com.) The fold-out case has opaque white CD trays and folds inward twice to make a square. Includes a clear blue plastic slipcase. Does NOT have an obi. The tracklist is printed in light gray on the back of the slipcase. The glossy liner notes have all the same content as the Squaresoft version, and they also include an e-mail exchange between Nobuo Uematsu and Kazushige Nojima (lyricist for "Suteki da ne"), plus two concept artworks of the Zanarkand ruins and another place that I don't recognize offhand. Also comes with a customer survey card that is slightly different from the regular version; it's printed with black text and has a small ad on the bottom talking about a "gift campaign" that DigiCube was running at the time.

    Squaresoft version:

Comes in a double-CD jewel case with a regular cardboard slipcase. Does not originally come with an obi. The CD trays are clear, see-through plastic, and underneath them are various CG shots from the game. The matte liner notes do not fit inside the jewel case. They contain the tracklist in mixed English and Japanese (kana); messages from composers Junya Nakano, Masashi Hamauzu and Nobuo Uematsu; a page of photos of the three composers; lyrics to "Suteki da ne" in kana; lyrics to "Otherworld" in English, with a translation into kana; a brief bio of Rikki; and pictures of some of the main characters scattered throughout the liner notes. The liner notes do NOT include the e-mail exchange and the two concept artworks found in the limited edition. Also comes with a customer survey card printed with blue text. The CDs look exactly the same as the limited edition; plese check the links above for scans.

    Square Enix re-release:

Images coming soonThe jewel case, music content, and CD appearances are pretty much the same as the Squaresoft version, aside from the new catalog number. Also changed in the liner notes was the removal of information on the "Suteki da ne" CD single and the removal of all DigiCube information, and the addition of Square Enix information. Also, the error of "DICC2" in the tracklist has been corrected to "DISC2." Aside from that, barring any other corrections or slight text changes that might have been made in the liner notes that I didn't catch, the content and style of the liner notes are the same as the SS version. Does not originally come with an obi.

    Tokyopop version:

Comes in a single-CD jewel case. Does NOT have a slipcase or obi. Liner notes include pictures of the various FF10 characters and lyrics to "Otherworld" in English. You'd think that they'd include romanized lyrics to "Suteki da ne," but I guess not...

    EverAnime version:

Comes in a double-CD jewel case with a glossy white slipcase that has flaps has both ends, so the jewel case is completely enclosed. Does NOT have an obi. The liner notes do not fit inside the jewel case and have the same layout and content as the SS limited-edition version. The disc trays are also see-through and have the same CG shots underneath them as the SS version, except they've been reversed: The pictures that appear on the back side of the SS version are on the front side of the EA version, and vice versa. Also comes with a customer survey card.

    Top Circle version:

The CDs are kept in a fold-out case that folds inward twice, following the exact same style as the SS first pressing. Does NOT come with an obi or a slipcase. The liner notes have the same layout and content as the SS limited-edition version. All company names have been deleted from the credits. Has CGI shots from the game printed inside the case. Includes customer survey paper.

    Japan Anime Music (JAM) version:

I bought this bootleg off of that piracy haven, eBay, some time ago. (I also purchased a JAM version of the FF8 soundtrack from the same seller, but I never received it. The person was based in Australia.) The four CDs come in a DVD-sized fold-out case and includes a semi-clear plastic slipcase. Does NOT have an obi. The disc trays are clear see-through plastic, and underneath them is artwork of Tidus, Yuna, Wakka, Kimahri, Auron, Rikku, and Seymour. Printed on the case are the lyrics for "Suteki da ne" in kana, and "Otherworld" in English along with its Japanese translation; music credits with some typos (for example, "Ending Theme" is misspelled as "Endign Theme"); and the tracklisting in kana. There are no separate liner notes.

    Interesting notes:

Because I have not followed the news of the game (I'm generally an anti-spoiler person ^_^), some of the English place names and people names are incorrect. Once I get definite info on them, I'll change them.

Titles whose numbers have a star ( * ) in front of it are also found on the Tokyopop version. Titles with a star in front were composed by Uematsu. Titles with a plus ( + ) in front were done by Hamauzu. Titles with a pound sign ( # ) were done by Nakano. Titles with two pluses ( ++ ) were arranged by Shirou Hamaguchi. Titles with multiple symbols were a collaboration between the respective composers.
